Trees of Lapham Peak
Touchable bronze, ceramic and glass tree park representing 19 trees throughout the park make up the sculpture. The blue ceramic represents the snowmaking trail in the park. GPS coordinates are available for each tree to facilitate visiting the trees immortalized in this sculpture.
"""Lapham Peak State Park is a very special place to me. I've visited to appreciate nature, run the Colorama race, ski Wednesday night races and the Lapham Loppet, coach Peak Nordic Kids and hike and camp with scouts. This sculpture recognizes both the people who made the new Lapham Lodge possible and the trees that make this park so special. Some of these trees have been here for centuries, long before there ever was a state park.
